BIOGRAPHY
Albert Bozeman White
Al White brings over 40 years of legal experience to Randall Segrest PLLC, where he concentrates his practice on real estate transactions, title insurance, and related matters.
Al’s career in land and title work began before he ever entered law school. He spent more than five years as a petroleum landman – working directly with oil companies and land brokers – conducting title searches, negotiating leases, and managing landman teams across Mississippi and Alabama. That hands-on foundation in title examination and contract negotiation has informed every stage of his legal career.
When earning his J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1983, Al served on the Mississippi Law Journal and received a Law Alumni Scholarship.
Al spent his first six years in private practice with insurance defense firms in Hattiesburg and Jackson, handling civil trial and appellate work, insurance defense, workers’ compensation, and medical malpractice defense.
In 1992, Al launched a solo practice in Madison, Mississippi, shifting his focus to the areas where he had the deepest expertise: real estate closings, title insurance, contract negotiation, LLC formation, and probate matters. Over the course of his 30-plus-year solo career, he built a broad and loyal client base while also serving in several additional professional roles. He worked as a part-time staff attorney for the Mississippi Department of Employment Security, representing the agency in administrative hearings and appeals through the Circuit and Supreme Courts. He also taught Real Estate Law at Holmes Community College for several years, sharing his practical knowledge with the next generation of real estate professionals.
Al is a title agent with Old Republic Title Insurance Company, First American Title Insurance Company, Chicago Title Insurance Company, and Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, and has been a member of the Mississippi State Bar since 1983. He served as a Mississippi Bar Commissioner from 1996 to 1999. He is also a member of the Tri-County Real Estate Lawyers, the Madison County Bar Association, and the National Association of Unemployment Insurance Appellate Boards.
Al joined Randall Segrest PLLC in January of 2024. He and his wife, Colleen, reside in Madison, Mississippi.
